Moonjoy Meadery, est. 2020. proudly veteran and woman-owned by Daniel and Rebecca Phillips. At Moonjoy Meadery, we are committed to crafting high-quality, natural meads. Our products are made with no added sulfites or preservatives, are unfiltered, and are naturally gluten-free. We are dedicated to supporting our local community and the environment by exclusively using North Carolina honey and sourcing other ingredients from local farmers whenever possible. Our passion lies in sustainability and creating the most nutrient-dense alcoholic beverages we can manage. The roots of Moonjoy Meadery trace back to Rebecca's mother, Margaret, who was the original mead maker in the family. As a home brewer, Margaret would ferment mead a few times a year for special occasions when Rebecca was younger. Eventually, Rebecca's husband, Daniel, joined in, developing a deep love for the craft and ultimately leading to the creation of Moonjoy Meadery. Even our name is a heartfelt tribute to Margaret, who believed in the magic of the full moon, often placing her carboys in its light during fermentation.
